The Bridge! Cindy walked and directed Danny accross it

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, I say pictures do not do justice to the real life adventure. This bridge has about a one story drop to the stream below. It was solid, but not wide enough for my comfort. We crossed it 4 times in the couple day trip to the village.

This village is 32 miles from our house in Bo#2. It took close to 2 hours to drive there. 1st and 2nd gear all the way. The last 2 miles were a drive with one set of tires on the foot path and the others in the bush. No cell phone service out here, no electricity, no modern conveniences of any kind. We were told most of the poeple who live in this village have never seen a white man. They were very excited and honored that we would stay over night with them. They made us delicious sauces and served it with their native rice which is reddish purple and white.

We pray God will get ahold of more people in this village. There is a number of Christians already here. We were praying for God to touch their bodies with healing.

There was no way to tell how many came to the film, but they came from surrounding villages too. It was a great time for Danny and I.

The people God touched, please keep them in your prayers!

Our prayer is we will see lots of people from Sierra Leone villages in heaven!

The church was full and a few people were outside as well.

The Local Game played everywhere in Salone

It is has some moves like checkers and some moves like chess. I could not figure it out and soon it was time for the set up for the film to start, maybe next time.

You carry children on your back here

They start very young, learning to be mothers. You sometimes will see boys too carrying siblings on their backs. Everything else is carried on their heads. Very gracefully I might add as well.
